What should a child write to Santa?
A good letter says something about the writer. The prompts help with the start: who I am, what I learned this year and what I'm thankful for. The wish list comes last. Many kids also send greetings to the elves and the reindeer.
What if my child can't write yet?
The second template has boxes for drawings instead of lines. Your child draws the answer, and you can write a word under the drawing. The name is for the child to write, even if the letters come out a bit wobbly.
Where do you send a letter to Santa?
Santa's official post office is in Rovaniemi, Finland, right on the Arctic Circle, and it answers mail from all over the world. The address is: Santa Claus, Santa Claus' Main Post Office, Tähtikuja 1, 96930 Arctic Circle, Finland. You can also leave the letter by an elf door or on the windowsill for an elf to take.
When should you write the letter?
Many families write it in late November or early December, so it arrives in good time. The letter also makes a nice day in the advent calendar.
